When you think of abundance – what do you think of? Wealth, manifestations, opportunities, luck?
Well most of us do share the same thoughts! We think that in order to have more abundance in life, we need to work on our money beliefs, money spells and change our thoughts and beliefs towards success.
While all those are not wrong and they are very useful in shifting our beliefs and mindset, there are three other practices that I find incredibly useful as well. Here there are!
Celebrate yourself
When was the last time you rewarded yourself or celebrated something that you did OR did something for yourself?
When was the last time you’ve taken yourself out on a date or allowed yourself to spend money on something that you’ve been eyeing for awhile.
Just months ago, it’d have been incredibly difficult for me to spend money on myself. I’d hem and haw at every single transaction – thinking “I can’t afford it this month” (even though I can) or “I can’t keep buying stuff for myself” (though I rarely do!).
Celebrating yourself, rewarding yourself and allowing yourself to enjoy life a little signals to the Universe that you are open to enjoyment and abundance. When you deny yourself an experience or tell yourself you shoudn’t buy/enjoy something even though you could, the energy around that is very limiting and constricting.
And when there is an accumulation of limiting, restrictive energy in your life, it can prevent abundant energy from flowing in – as the energy around abundance and limitations are at very different frequencies.
So yes, take time to celebrate yourself. Each week or each day even – note down the things that you did that day that make you happy/proud. Think of what you can do each day to show up for yourself. Reward yourself. Take yourself on dates. Set aside a small sum of money each money that you can tap on enjoy!

Choose gratitude
You’ve probably heard this a million times but it doesn’t hurt to hear it again!
Gratitude is an incredibly cool and useful practice to introduce in your life. And you don’t have to give thanks for big stuff. Small things like being thankful for the weather, for the little things that come up in your day, for being alive and healthy!
Gratitude and abundance go hand in hand and they hang out in the same frequency. When you are thankful for the things that you’ve already got in life, it allows for more of the same to come through in your life experience!
Banish scarcity thoughts
Living in the society that we do, we have been socialised to always focus on lack.
What else do we need on our faces/bodies to look good? We aren’t earning a million bucks at work? God aren’t we a failure! Unable to achieve/attain something – how imperfect and awful.
Is it any wonder then why we always think we are lacking, that we always feel incomplete, unworthy and imperfect?
A useful way to overcome this is to start being conscious of scarcity thoughts and limiting beliefs. Every time you catch yourself thinking how imperfect or awful you are – or someone you are observing is – take note of that and switch that around.
The form you have selected does not exist.
One thing that has helped me do this is by keeping track of most of my thoughts in the day (it’s quite impossible to track everything as we have millions of thoughts!). I note them in a journal and then think of an affirmation or statement that reflects the opposite. Or I think of some examples in my experience that illustrate the opposite.
Flipping negative thinking is a muscle that requires abit of warming up and exercise. Bit by bit over time, you will start to see your thinking and mindset shift!
