Boy did February and March feel weird. Was chatting to several people about this and it seemed like others felt the same way too. I was incredibly tired and lethargic and never felt like doing much all day. There was indeed something strange in the air. I only really got my energy back towards the end of March.
Anyways we are in April now and I’m back in the groove, feeling the rush of excitement of starting new projects and stepping into new beginnings. After all, it’s Spring! Also there was an upcoming New Moon in Aries and for followers who’ve known me for awhile, I tend to set my new goals during the New Moon (stop/start/continue fashion) and will take a look at what I’ve accomplished.
I’m not sure if it was the lull in Feb/March or something else, but I was triggered to step up and dream big when I noticed that I was subconsciously keeping a lot of my goals “small”.
I kept putting things on my to-do list, things that would bring my closer to my dreams, I’d put it off day after day because I was afraid of how overwhelming it’d be. I was afraid of failing, afraid of succeeding. Fear, fear, fear.
So I kept myself small. I have big dreams but instead of taking the necessary steps to get to those dreams, I subconsciously told myself that those dreams will never come true anyway, so why bother trying so hard?
Well, if you want to transform your life, achieve those big dreams and choose to live a life that you will be proud of, a life that is uniquely yours, a life that you designed. A life that you will be happy living. Here are 3 things you can start doing:
- Change your story around x. X could be a relationship, career, money, friends you name it. I needed to change my story around pursuing my dreams. What have I been telling myself so far that has been holding me back from my dream life?
- Break your patterns. Do you have a habit of procrastinating on things you should be doing? A pattern of talking down to yourself? A habit of keeping yourself small and invisible? It’s time to cut that out
- Shift your Energy. Energy is part feeling and part intention. Are you bringing a dreaded sort of energy to whatever you do? Each time you think of embarking on a goal, do you feel your heart sinking or do you feel immense excitement welling up within you? The energy we bring to something can have knock-on effects on the outcomes and our journey. Somewhat similar to a self-fulfilling prophecy.
