Human beings? We are creatures of habit. You and me. Everyone of us. We all have our habits that we stick to
and never really get out of.
This is the number one reason we have gone through life not really living up to our amazing potential, or growing and two, is a reason why people get bored of their lives and relationships.
Habits can be great. They are a source of stability, comfort and routine. But habits are also what then holds us back in life, when we allow outdated habits to linger in our experience.
So, what should we be doing then?
When you’re faced with a decision to either do what you’ve always done or do something new, why don’t you take a chance and
Stretch Yourself
And that means, doing the opposite of what you’ve always done.
How does this work?
Here are some examples:
#1 You’ve been eyeing this cute waiter and he seems really friendly & flirty with you. You’re about to leave the cafe and you think about leaving your number. You don’t usually do that (never actually). But that is reason enough for you to change things up and do it now!
#2 Whenever you’re about to do something slightly outside of your outside of your comfort zone, I.e: give a presentation, speak in public etc, your instinct is to reject it. Why don’t you stretch yourself? Go ahead and accept the challenge, do it, and put your best self out there.
#3 This works well if you have negative patterns of thought that never seem to go away. Each time the intrusive thought gets into your head, interrupt it and switch up your thought. Think of something else. Get into a pattern or a habit that you’ve never done before and have never considered doing before.
These may be difficult to do at first but overtime, you will start to form new habits.
And not only that, you’ll find a whole new way of life opening up to you. You’ll feel more confident and adventurous, more doors and opportunities will open up for you too!

Last words…
So go forth and stretch yourself and see a more delicious, amazing you emerge!
